Meet Bongmusa Mthembu, an elite runner from the ARTHUR FORD Running Club, known for his outstanding achievements in the Comrades Marathon, an annual ultra-marathon between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. With three victories to his name in 2014, 2017, and 2018, he has also won eight gold medals and consistently finished in the top 10 from 2009 to 2022.

 In addition to his success at the Comrades Marathon, Mthembu added another accolade to his name in 2019 by winning Gold at the 56 km Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town, further cementing his status as a top-class long-distance runner.

Energizing Breakfast Smoothie:

Ingredients:

50 grams of Sēkret Fuel Food Instant Meal

1  banana

1 cup of milk of choice

1 tablespoon of nut butter of choice

1 teaspoon of honey

A dash of cinnamon

Instructions:

In a blender, combine the Sēkret Fuel Food Instant Meal, banana, milk, nut butter , honey, and cinnamon.

Blend until smooth and creamy.

Pour into a glass and enjoy this energising breakfast smoothie to kick-start your day.

 

Creamy Chocolate Chia Pudding:

 

Ingredients:

1 packet of Sēkret Fuel Food Instant Meal

2 tablespoons of chia seeds

1 cup of milk of choice

1 tablespoon of cacao powder

1 teaspoon of sweetner of choice

Fresh berries for topping

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine the Sēkret Fuel Food Instant Meal, chia seeds, almond milk, cacao powder, and sweetener of choice.

Stir well until everything is thoroughly combined.

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight, allowing the chia seeds to thicken the mixture.

Before serving, give the pudding a good stir and top with fresh berries for added flavour and nutrients.

Note: You can adjust the sweetness and consistency to your preference by adding more or less milk and sweetener.
